194 Designated agency must give effect to joint policy directions (1) Subject to any enactment or rule of law, a designated agency must, in performing functions and exercising powers under this Act or any other enactment, give effect to any joint policy directions given to it by the Minister and the Minister responsible for the designated agency. (2) A direction given under subsection (1) must be in writing and signed by the Ministers. (3) Sections 113 and 115 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 apply to a direction given under subsection (1) subject to— (a) all references to a Crown entity or entity being read as references to a designated agency; and (b) any other necessary modifications.
