217 Consultation requirements for making certain regulations (1) The Minister must not recommend the making of any regulations under section 211 , 212 , 214 , or 215 without first consulting persons and organisations that the Minister considers appropriate, having regard to the subject matter of the proposed regulations. (2) The Minister, before recommending the making of any regulations relating to hazardous substances, must consult the EPA about the subject matter of the proposed regulations. (3) A failure to comply with this section does not affect the validity of the regulations made. Compare: 1992 No 96 s 21(2), (3)
