Section 121 — Human Rights Act 1993: Enforcement

121 Enforcement (1) The following orders made by the Tribunal may, on registration of a certified copy in the District Court, be enforced in all respects as if they were an order of that Court: (a) an order for the award of costs under section 92L ; and (b) an order for the award of damages under section 92M ; and (c) an interim order under section 95 . (2) Every person commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 who contravenes or refuses to comply with any other order of the Tribunal made under section 92I or an interim order of the Tribunal made under section 95 . Compare: 1977 No 49 s 61 Subsection (1) was substituted, as from 1 January 2002, by section 25(1) Human Rights Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 96). Subsection (2) was amended, as from 1 January 2002, by section 25(2) Human Rights Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 96) by substituting “ section 92I or an interim order of the Tribunal made under section 95 ” for “ section 86 of this Act ” .
