Section 138 — Human Rights Act 1993: No adverse statement

138 No adverse statement The Commission must not, in any report or statement made pursuant to this Act, make any comment that is adverse to any person unless that person has been given an opportunity to be heard. Compare: 1977 No 49 s 78(2); 1991 No 126 s 32 Section 138 was amended, as from 1 January 2002, by section 36 Human Rights Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 96) by substituting “ The Commission must not ” for “ Neither the Commission nor the Complaints Division shall ” .
