Section 148 — Human Rights Act 1993: Former office of Commissioner abolished

148 Former office of Commissioner abolished (1) The office of Commissioner under section 7(1) of the principal Act (as it read immediately before the commencement of this section) is abolished. (2) No person is entitled to compensation for loss of office as a Commissioner under subsection (1) . Section 148 and the heading “ Transitional provisions ” were substituted, as from 1 January 2002, by section 40 Human Rights Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 96).
