Section 18 — Human Rights Act 1993: General manager and staff of Commission

18 General manager and staff of Commission (1) The General manager and staff of the Commission undertake activities required to perform the functions of the Commission in accordance with the strategic direction and other determinations of the Commission under section 7 . (2) The General manager— (a) is responsible to the Chief Commissioner and reports to him or her; and (b) is appointed by the Chief Commissioner, in accordance with clause 1 of Schedule 1; and (c) is the chief executive of the Commission for the purposes of the Crown Entities Act 2004 . (3) Employees of the Commission are responsible to the General manager and report to him or her. Sections 18 to 20 were substituted, as from 1 January 2002, by section 5 Human Rights Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 96). Subsection (2)(b) was amended, as from 25 January 2005, by section 200 Crown Entities Act 2004 (2004 No 115) by inserting “ ; and ” . Subsection (2)(c) was inserted, as from 25 January 2005, by section 200 Crown Entities Act 2004 (2004 No 115).
