Section 159 — Immigration Act 2009: Deportation liability of resident if visa conditions breached

159 Deportation liability of resident if visa conditions breached (1) A resident is liable for deportation if the Minister determines that— (a) the conditions of his or her visa have not been met; or (b) the resident has materially breached the conditions of his or her visa. (2) A person liable for deportation under this section may, not later than 28 days after the date of service of a deportation liability notice, appeal to the Tribunal both on the facts and on humanitarian grounds against his or her liability for deportation.
