Section 23 — Immigration Act 2009: Immigration instructions classified as residence instructions, temporary entry instructions, or transit instructions

23 Immigration instructions classified as residence instructions, temporary entry instructions, or transit instructions (1) The Minister must classify immigration instructions as— (a) residence instructions; or (b) temporary entry instructions (and, if appropriate, as restricted temporary entry instructions); or (c) transit instructions. (2) To avoid doubt, any temporary entry instructions are not residence instructions, regardless of whether the granting of a visa or entry permission under those instructions may affect eligibility for, or otherwise relate to, the grant of a residence class visa.
