Section 271 — Immigration Act 2009: Payment to counsel assisting the court or special adviser

271 Payment to counsel assisting the court or special adviser (1) The Tribunal or the court concerned may make the order it thinks just for payment to— (a) counsel assisting the court appointed for any proceedings under section 269 ; and (b) a special adviser appointed for any proceedings under section 270 . (2) The Registrar of the Tribunal or the court must send a copy of the order to the chief executive of the department of State referred to in clause 5 of Schedule 2 , who must then make the payment out of money appropriated by Parliament for that purpose.
