287 Special powers pending deportation or turnaround Where any person is liable for deportation or turnaround, an immigration officer has such of the following powers as are necessary to meet the entry or transit requirements of any country to which or through which the person is to travel: (a) the power to photograph and measure the person: (b) the power to take the person’s fingerprints, palm-prints, or footprints, or a scan of the person's irises.
