Section 424 — Immigration Act 2009: Person recognised as refugee under former Act treated as recognised as refugee under this Act

424 Person recognised as refugee under former Act treated as recognised as refugee under this Act On and from the commencement of section 404 , any person who was recognised as a refugee in New Zealand under Part 6A of the former Act, or before 1 October 1999, or any person who was recognised as a refugee outside New Zealand and travelled to New Zealand as a mandated refugee, must be treated for the purposes of this Act as a person recognised as a refugee in New Zealand under this Act, and this Act applies accordingly with any necessary modifications.
