“ 13 Expiry of limited visa and liability for deportation may be effective immediately upon giving or service of notice “ (1) This section applies to the holder of a limited visa (or further limited visa) granted in accordance with section 10 if— “ (a) an immigration officer is, under section 84(2) of the Immigration Act 2009 (as applied by section 10 of this Act), to give the holder a notice specifying an expiry date for the visa that is a date earlier than the latest date on which the visa will expire; or “ (b) the holder of the visa is determined to be liable for deportation under section 157(1) of the Immigration Act 2009 (as applied by section 10 of this Act). “ (2) In the situation in subsection (1)(a), the notice specifying an earlier expiry date for the visa may, despite section 84(2) of the Immigration Act 2009, specify an earlier expiry date that is a date (for example, the date upon which the notice is given to the holder) sooner than 14 days after the notice is given to the holder. “ (3) In the situation in subsection (1)(b), the deportation liability notice given under section 170 of the Immigration Act 2009 must notify the holder that the holder is immediately liable for deportation. ”
