Section 259 — Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001: Accident Compensation Corporation

259 Accident Compensation Corporation (1) The Accident Compensation Corporation established by the Accident Insurance Act 1998 is continued. (2) The Corporation is a Crown entity for the purposes of section 7 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 . (3) The Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to the Corporation except to the extent that this Act expressly provides otherwise. (4) The Corporation is a local authority for the purposes of section 73 of the Public Finance Act 1989 . (5) The Corporation is exempt from income tax. Compare: 1998 No 114 s 328 Subsections (2) to (4) were substituted, as from 25 January 2005, by section 200 Crown Entities Act 2004 (2004 No 115).
