287 Purpose of this Part The purpose of this Part is— (a) to facilitate the achievement of the Government's overall injury management (including injury prevention) objectives, as determined from time to time, through information collection: (b) to facilitate the development and maintenance of a coherent set of statistics and indicators, and a research database on injury-related information: (c) to enable the analysis of such information to enhance policy development in both the government and private sectors: (d) to facilitate the dissemination of such information across all appropriate sectors (including the government and private sectors): (e) to enable the effectiveness of government agencies to be monitored in relation to the Government's overall injury management (including injury prevention) objectives.
