309 Offence not to provide requested information to Corporation (1) This section applies to— (a) an employer or former employer of a claimant: (b) a person who has provided any rehabilitation to a claimant: (c) a person who has sought or received any payment in respect of a claimant. (2) A person to whom this section applies must provide the Corporation with any information or statement, when requested to do so by the Corporation, for the purposes of facilitating decisions about cover and the timely and appropriate provision of entitlements, or detecting fraud. (3) A person to whom this section applies commits an offence if the person refuses or fails to supply, without reasonable excuse, the information or statement requested under subsection (2) . (4) This section does not apply unless the claimant has authorised the request being made and the person of whom the request is made has notice of that authorisation. (5) A person who commits an offence against this section is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000. Compare: 1998 No 114 s 376
