Section 80 — Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001: Purpose of vocational rehabilitation

80 Purpose of vocational rehabilitation (1) The purpose of vocational rehabilitation is to help a claimant to, as appropriate,— (a) maintain employment; or (b) obtain employment; or (c) regain or acquire vocational independence. (2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the provision of vocational rehabilitation includes the provision of activities for the purpose of maintaining or obtaining employment that is— (a) suitable for the claimant; and (b) appropriate for the claimant's levels of training and experience.
