Section 1 — Official Information Act 1982: Short Title and commencement

1 Short Title and commencement (1) This Act may be cited as the Official Information Act 1982. (2) Except as provided in subsection (3) of this section, this Act shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1983. (3) This section, and Part 6 of, and Schedule 2 to, this Act shall come into force on the day on which this Act receives the Governor-General's assent.
