Section 32A — Official Information Act 1982: Requirements in relation to Order in Council

32A Requirements in relation to Order in Council (1) Every Order in Council made under section 32 of this Act shall be published in the Gazette and laid before the House of Representatives as soon as practicable after it is made. (2) Every Order in Council made under section 32 of this Act shall set out the reasons for which it is made and the grounds in support of those reasons. (3) An Order in Council made under section 32 of this Act in relation to a recommendation made under section 30(1) of this Act may be made for all or any of the reasons for the decision reviewed by the Ombudsman (being reasons that were before the Ombudsman when the recommendation was made) but for no other reasons. Sections 32A to 32C were inserted, as from 1 April 1987, by section 18 Official Information Amendment Act 1987 (1987 No 8).
