Section 65 — Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987: Remedies

65 Remedies In the case of any alleged breach of any of the provisions of this Act, any decision made for the purposes of this Act may, if it includes a finding that any of the provisions of this Act have been breached by the employer, provide for any one or more of the following: (a) The reinstatement of the employee in the employee's former position or in a position not less advantageous to the employee: (b) The reimbursement to the employee of a sum equal to the whole or any part of any wages lost by the employee: (c) The payment to the employee of compensation by the employer. Compare: 1980 No 162 s 42 Section 65 was amended, as from 1 July 2002, by section 16 Parental Leave And Employment Protection (Paid Parental Leave) Amendment Act 2002 (2002 No 7) by substituting the words “ any decision made for the purposes of this Act ” for the words “ any decision made under section 60 or section 61(3) or section 63(3) of this Act ” .
