224 Consent not to be unreasonably withheld or delayed (1) In a lease, unless the context otherwise requires, a covenant of the lessee not to do a thing without the lessor’s consent must be taken as requiring the lessor— (a) not to unreasonably withhold consent to the doing of that thing by the lessee; and (b) within a reasonable time, to— (i) give the consent; or (ii) notify the lessee in writing that the consent is withheld. (2) This section does not affect the operation of a covenant referred to in section 225 .
