60 Doctrine of interesse termini abolished (1) The legal doctrine of interesse termini is abolished. (2) A lessee acquires an estate in the land at the time fixed for the commencement of the lease, whether or not the lessee enters into possession of the land at that time. (3) Subsection (2) applies subject to section 41 of the Land Transfer Act 1952. (4) Subsection (3) does not limit section 8 .
