1E Part 2 (preliminary provisions) Part 2 contains provisions dealing with interpretation and with the application of this Act. Among other things, it— (a) sets out what various terms used in this Act mean: (b) provides that this Act does not apply to Maori land: (c) sets out how this Act applies to property located in New Zealand or overseas. Part 1 (comprising sections 1A to 1L) was inserted, as from 1 February 2002, by section 6 Property (Relationships) Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 5). See Part 9 of this Act as to the transitional and saving provisions.
