Section 28D — Property (Relationships) Act 1976: Effect of furniture orders

28D Effect of furniture orders (1) The person in whose favour an order is made under section 28B or section 28C is entitled, to the exclusion of the person against whom the order is made, to the possession of the furniture, household appliances, and household effects to which the order relates for as long as the order is in force. (2) An order to which this section applies has effect and may be enforced as if it were an order of the Court for delivery of chattels granted in favour of the person for whose benefit the order is made. Compare: 1995 No 86 ss 64 , 68 Section 28B was substituted, and sections 28C and 28D were inserted, as from 1 February 2002, by section 29 Property (Relationships) Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 5). See Part 9 of this Act as to the transitional and saving provisions.
