4B Law relating to trustees preserved (1) Nothing in section 4 or section 4A affects the law that applies where either spouse or partner is acting as trustee under any deed or will. (2) For the purposes of this section, every enactment and every rule of law or of equity continues to operate and apply accordingly as if sections 4 and 4A had not been passed. Sections 4A to 4D were inserted, as from 1 February 2002, by section 9 Property (Relationships) Amendment Act 2001 (2001 No 5). See Part 9 of this Act as to the transitional and saving provisions. Subsection (1) was amended, as from 26 April 2005, by section 3(2) Property (Relationships) Amendment Act 2005 (2005 No 19) by substituting the word “ partner ” for the words “ de facto partner ” .
