Section 68 — Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988: Procedure at pre-hearing conference

68 Procedure at pre-hearing conference (1) Every pre-hearing conference shall be presided over by a Family Court Judge. (2) The barrister or solicitor representing the person in respect of whom the application is made shall be present at the pre-hearing conference to assist and advise that person (if that person is present) or to represent that person (if that person is not present). (3) Subject to any direction by the presiding Judge to the contrary, any barrister or solicitor representing any other party to the application may be present at the pre-hearing conference to assist and advise that party. (4) Subject to any direction by the presiding Judge to the contrary, every pre-hearing conference shall be held in private. (5) The presiding Judge may from time to time adjourn a pre-hearing conference to such time and place as the Judge may determine.
