70 Power of presiding Judge to make consent orders (1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section, at a pre-hearing conference the presiding Judge may, by consent of the parties, make any orders that could have been made by a Family Court exercising jurisdiction under this Act. (2) The presiding Judge shall not make an order under subsection (1) of this section unless the Judge is satisfied that the person in respect of whom the application is made understands the nature and foresees the consequences of the order and consents to the order. (3) An order made under this section shall for all purposes have the same effect as if it were made by consent in proceedings before a Family Court.
