Section 138 — Residential Tenancies Act 1986: Offences triable summarily

138 Offences triable summarily (1) Every offence against any of the provisions of this Act, except section 111 , or against any regulations made under this Act, shall be punishable on summary conviction. (2) Notwithstanding anything in section 14 of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957 , any information in respect of any offence against this Act, or against any regulations made under this Act, may be laid at any time within 1 year after the time when the matter of the information arose.
