142 Minister may determine not to proceed (1) Even though a direction has been served under section 141C , the Minister may determine not to proceed with the notification or hearing of the matter, acting under section 91 as if the Minister were a consent authority. (2) When the Minister makes such a determination, he or she must notify the local authority and the applicant of it without delay. Sections 142 to 147 were substituted, as from 10 August 2005, by section 80 Resource Management Amendment Act 2005 (2005 No 87). See sections 131 to 135 of that Act as to the transitional provisions.
