173 Notification of decision on designation (1) A territorial authority must ensure that, within 15 working days after a decision is made by a requiring authority under section 172 , a notice of decision and a statement of the time within which an appeal against the decision may be lodged is served on (a) persons who made a submission; and (b) land owners and occupiers directly affected by the decision. (2) If the territorial authority gives a notice summarising a decision, it must— (a) make a copy of the decision available (whether physically or by electronic means) at all its offices and all public libraries in the district; and (b) include with the notice a statement of the places where a copy of the decision is available; and (c) send or provide, on request, a copy of the decision within 3 working days after the request is received. Subsection (1)(b) was substituted, as from 7 July 1993, by section 88 Resource Management Amendment Act 1993 (1993 No 65). Section 173 was substituted, as from 1 August 2003, by section 64 Resource Management Amendment Act 2003 (2003 No 23).
