Section 256 — Resource Management Act 1991: Oath of office

256 Oath of office A person appointed as an Environment Commissioner or a Deputy Environment Commissioner of the Environment Court shall, before undertaking any duties as such, take an oath of office that he or she will honestly and impartially perform the duties of the office. The words “ Environment Commissioner ” and “ Deputy Environment Commissioner ” were substituted, as from 2 September 1996, for the words “ Planning Commissioner ” and “ Deputy Planning Commissioner ” pursuant to section 6(2)(c) Resource Management Amendment Act 1996 (1996 No 160). The words “ Environment Court ” were substituted, as from 2 September 1996, for the words “ Planning Tribunal ” pursuant to section 6(2)(a) Resource Management Amendment Act 1996 (1996 No 160).
