Section 259 — Resource Management Act 1991: Special advisors

259 Special advisors (1) The Principal Environment Judge may appoint as a special advisor a person who is able to assist the Environment Court in a proceeding before it. (2) A special advisor is not a member of the Environment Court but may sit with it and assist it in any way the Environment Court determines. The words “ Environment Court ” in subsections (1) and (2) were substituted, as from 2 September 1996, for the words “ Planning Tribunal ” pursuant to section 6(2)(a) Resource Management Amendment Act 1996 (1996 No 160). The words “ Environment Court ” in subsection (2) were substituted, as from 2 September 1996, for the word “ Tribunal ” pursuant to section 6(2)(a) Resource Management Amendment Act 1996 (1996 No 160).
