Section 132 — Senior Courts Act 2016: Governor-General must approve certain resignations

132 Governor-General must approve certain resignations Before written notice is given to the Attorney-General under section 131(1) , the approval of the Governor-General is required if— (a) the Chief Justice proposes to resign from that office without resigning from office as a Supreme Court Judge or High Court Judge: (b) the President of the Court of Appeal proposes to resign from that office without resigning from office as a Court of Appeal Judge or a High Court Judge: (c) a Court of Appeal Judge (other than the President of the Court of Appeal) proposes to resign from office without resigning from office as a High Court Judge: (d) the Chief High Court Judge proposes to resign from that office without resigning from office as a High Court Judge.
