Section 61 — Senior Courts Act 2016: Reasons for granting or refusing leave to appeal

61 Reasons for granting or refusing leave to appeal (1) The Court of Appeal may, but does not have to, give reasons for granting leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal. (2) The Court of Appeal must give reasons for refusing leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal. (3) Reasons given by the Court of Appeal may be stated— (a) briefly; and (b) in general terms only.
