Section 140 — Sentencing Act 2002: Party with interest may apply to Registrar

140 Party with interest may apply to Registrar (1) Any party (other than the offender) to a leasing agreement relating to the confiscated motor vehicle may apply to the Registrar, at any time before the Registrar has sold the motor vehicle, for the transfer of the motor vehicle to that party as if the offender had breached the terms of the agreement. (2) If subsection (1) applies, the Registrar may transfer the motor vehicle to that party accordingly. Compare: 1985 No 120 s 87(5)
