Section 123 — Social Security Act 2018: Persons subject to work-preparation obligations if sufficient capacity to comply

123 Persons subject to work-preparation obligations if sufficient capacity to comply (1) The following persons are not required to comply with section 124 but may be required to do any of the things set out in section 125 if MSD decides that the person is capable of complying with the obligation in question: (a) a person who receives a benefit under section 34 (supported living payment on the ground of restricted work capacity or total blindness): (b) a person who receives a benefit under section 40 (supported living payment on the ground of caring for another person). (2) A person referred to in subsection (1)(a) or (b) may be required to attend and participate in an interview with an MSD employee or a person on behalf of MSD for the purpose of helping MSD decide whether the person is capable of complying with any of the work-preparation obligations set out in section 125 .
