Section 338 — Social Security Act 2018: Weekly instalments

338 Weekly instalments (1) A benefit is payable in instalments of a number of weeks’ benefit. (2) The number of weeks’ benefit is as determined from time to time by MSD. (3) The instalments are payable on 1 or more days or dates in the month. (4) The 1 or more days or dates in the month is or are as determined from time to time by MSD. (5) A main benefit under this Act and the winter energy payment are payable in respect of a 7-day week. (6) This section is subject to section 74 (winter energy payment: instalments, rates, and payment) and section 341 (required manner of payment: money management for certain payments to young people).
