Section 57 — Social Security Act 2018: When person is study ready

57 When person is study ready In this subpart, a person is study ready if the person— (a) is undertaking or is available for full-time education or training leading to— (i) NCEA level 2; or (ii) an equivalent (in MSD’s opinion) or higher qualification; or (b) would be available for full-time education or training were it not for circumstances— (i) under which the obligation to undertake education or training does not, under section 163 , for the time being apply to the young person; or (ii) that would qualify the person for an exemption under the regulations referred to in section 157 from the obligation to undertake education or training.
