Section Sch9-2 — Social Security Act 2018: Members’ terms and conditions of office

2 Members’ terms and conditions of office (1) Each member holds office on terms and conditions that— (a) are not inconsistent with this Act; and (b) the chief executive thinks fit. (2) Each member— (a) may be paid remuneration at a rate and of a kind determined by the chief executive; and (b) is entitled to be reimbursed for actual and reasonable travelling and other expenses determined by the chief executive. (3) No member is, just because of membership of a board, to be treated as employed in the service of the Crown for the purposes of— (a) the State Sector Act 1988; or (b) the Government Superannuation Fund Act 1956 .
