59A Transitional provision for maximum duration of future estates and interests (1) This section applies to an estate or interest in property that has been created, but that has not yet taken effect, before the date on which the Trusts Act 2019 enters into force. (2) The maximum amount of time that may elapse between the date on which the estate or interest was created and the date on which the estate or interest takes effect must be determined as if the rule against perpetuities and the Perpetuities Act 1964 had not been repealed by the Trusts Act 2019.
