Company with relevant IP losses: set-off amount 357E Where a company would be entitled to make a deduction under section 357A(2) in calculating the profits of a trade of the company for an accounting period but for the fact that there are relevant IP losses of the trade for the accounting period, there is a “ set-off amount ” in relation to the trade of the company for the accounting period which is equal to the amount of the relevant IP losses.
