Section 37C — Employment Tribunals Act 1996: Settlement sum: unpaid amount

Settlement sum: unpaid amount 37C 1 In the case of a settlement sum, the unpaid amount on any day means the amount outstanding immediately before that day in respect of—

a the settlement sum, and b interest (if any) calculated in accordance with the settlement (within the meaning of section 19A).

2 Subject to section 37D(2) and (3), an amount in respect of a settlement sum is not to be regarded as outstanding if the settlement sum is not recoverable under section 19A(3).
