Section 607 — Housing Act 1985: Local housing authority to have regard to environmental considerations.

Local housing authority to have regard to environmental considerations. 607 A local housing authority in preparing any proposals for the provision of housing accommodation, or in taking any action under this Act, shall have regard to—

a the beauty of the landscape or countryside, b the other amenities of the locality, and c the desirability of preserving existing works of architectural, historic or artistic interest; and they shall comply with such directions in that behalf as may be given to them by the Secretary of State.
