Section 114 — Road Traffic Act 1988: Conditions of certain licences.

Conditions of certain licences. 114 1 The following licences, that say - a a large goods vehicle or passenger-carrying vehicle driver’s licence issued as a provisional licence, b a full large goods vehicle or passenger-carrying vehicle driver’s licence granted to a person under the age of 21, and c a LGV Community licence held by a person under the age of 21 who is normally resident in Great Britain, shall be subject to the prescribed conditions, and if the holder of the licence fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with any of the conditions he is guilty of an offence.

2 It is an offence for a person knowingly to cause or permit another person who is under the age of 21 to drive a large goods vehicle of any class or a passenger-carrying vehicle of any class in contravention of the prescribed conditions to which that other person’s licence is subject.
