Supplementary provisions about tests, etc., of goods vehicles. 52 1 Without prejudice to any regulations made under section 49 of this Act by virtue of section 51(1)(c) of this Act, the Secretary of State may give directions with respect to the manner in which examinations under regulations under section 49 or under section 50 of this Act are to be carried out.

2 The Secretary of State may —

a provide and maintain stations where examinations of goods vehicles under regulations under section 49 or under section 50 of this Act may be carried out, b designate premises as stations where such examinations may be carried out, and c provide and maintain apparatus for the carrying out of such examinations.
