Section 182C — Social Security Administration Act 1992: Requirement to apply for national insurance number

Requirement to apply for national insurance number 182C 1 Regulations may make provision requiring a person to apply for a national insurance number to be allocated to him. 1A Regulations under subsection (1) above may require the application to be made to the Secretary of State or to the Inland Revenue.

2 An application required by regulations under subsection (1) above shall be accompanied by information or evidence enabling such a number to be allocated.
