Offence if information not provided 112N 1 A person commits an offence if he fails to comply with—
a section 112M(2) and (3), or b section 112M(4).
2 A person who commits an offence under subsection (1) may be ordered by a judge of the ... county court to pay a fine of not more than £250 or to be imprisoned for not more than 14 days.
3 Where under subsection (2) a person is ordered to be imprisoned by a judge of the ... county court, a judge of the county court may at any time—
a revoke the order, and b if the person is already in custody, order his discharge.
4 Section 129 of this Act (enforcement of fines) applies to payment of a fine imposed under subsection (2).
5 For the purposes of section 13 of the Administration of Justice Act 1960 (appeal in cases of contempt of court), subsection (2) is to be treated as an enactment enabling a county court to deal with an offence under subsection (1) as if it were a contempt of court. 6 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
