Section 241.4 — Criminal Code: Forgery

Everyone commits an offence who commits forgery in relation to a request for medical assistance in dying. Everyone commits an offence who destroys a document that relates to a request for medical assistance in dying with intent to interfere with another person’s access to medical assistance in dying; the lawful assessment of a request for medical assistance in dying; another person invoking an exemption under any of subsections 227(1) or (2), 241(2) to (5) or 245(2); or the provision by a person of information under section 241.31. Everyone who commits an offence under subsection (1) or (2) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than five years; or an offence punishable on summary conviction. In subsection (2), document has the same meaning as in section 321.
