Section 490.0311 — Criminal Code: Offence

Every person who knowingly provides false or misleading information under subsection 5(1) or 6(1) or (1.01) of the Sex Offender Information Registration Act is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction on indictment, to a fine of not more than $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years, or to both; or on summary conviction, to a fine of not more than $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years less a day, or to both.
