Section 696.75 — Criminal Code: Knowledge and experience

The commissioners must have, in the opinion of the Governor in Council, knowledge and experience that is related to the Commission’s mandate. At least one third of the commissioners, including the Chief Commissioner, must be members in good standing of the bar of a province and have at least ten years’ experience in the practice of criminal law at the time of their appointment. At least one half of the commissioners must not, if possible, be persons described in subsection (2).
