Section 696.77 — Criminal Code: Term of office

A commissioner is to be appointed to hold office for a term not exceeding seven years such that, to the extent possible, the terms of office of more than one half of the commissioners do not end in any one calendar year. A commissioner may be reappointed. A commissioner may be removed for cause by the Governor in Council.
